A Question about Blockades

#1

Post by aiwac » 23 Nov 2015, 01:13

Hi,

I know that the legality, morality and effectiveness of the British Blockade of the Central Powers is much discussed and debated (as well as the German attempt at a kind of submarine blockade of Britain). But what about the other blockades - Turkey and Germany of Russia, or blockades of Italy? Is it really fair to judge the British maritime siege in isolation compared to everyone else? And were the other blockades also aimed to be as watertight (incl. food for civilians) or were they supposed to be looser?
