Though to ask what works you folk have read regarding the International Brigades that you would recommend.

Please no Osprey or purely illustrated titles.

English or Spanish.

I don't have a book to recommend but here is a rather lengthy University thesis on Americans in the International Brigades I found in my files. It also has an extensive bibliography. http://www.unc.edu/~chaos1/intlbrigade.pdf
