Hola Sturm:

Very interesting subject and not covered elsewhere I think.

I hope you will continue and I will try to add some photos I have seen as well.

Republican mobile blood transfusion unit of Canadian Dr. Norman Bethune. Note the British plate. Ford maybe?

It's a Ford Station Wagon, the first vehicle that Bethune used in Spain.

An early Sd. Kfz. 7 (KM m 8 version 1935) purportedly serving with LC in Castilla.

The caption says Spanien-Legion Condor-Barcelona-Technik-Landungsboote-Pioniere-fahrzeug-Lkw but I believe they are towing bridging equipment.

This photo purports to show soldaten of the Legion relaxing somewhere in Toledo. The vehicle behind them looks like a Kfz. 61 Funkkraftwagen so I would assume these men are with Nachrichtenabteilung 88.

Maxschnauzer,
are you really sure this is a LC picture? Looks more 'eastern-frontish' to me.
If I identify it correctly, the number plate of the first Opel Blitz starts with 'WL-xxxx' and not with 'LC-'. Any chance to clarify this? :)

Hello Reichskriegsgericht,
You could be right. I can't read the letters on the plate, so I just took the caption at face value.

Max

This thread has become active again and I have a question for Sturm78.......

I have a number of photos of vehicles used in the Spanish Civil War, but not all of them are "LC" vehicles.
Some have registration plates "ET" or Ground Forces and some have no specific identification if they were used by the Nationalists or by the Republican forces. Other photos are of vehicles donated by various Red Cross or similar organizations.

Would it be alright/OK with you if I posted this collection on your "Legion Condor Vehicle Images" thread??????????

Bill
