He was very honest with me about Spain. I think what you said about them not having their own unit makes sense. Quite honestly I have read quite a bit about Spain and have not heard about Russian volunteers.
I am a 43 year old attorney, so I'm not a dummy (not that you called me one). I know that in the US, and perhaps the rest of the world, the history of the Spanish Civil War was written by the Republic. I am interested in hearing the entire truth, and think this website is a great resource.
Now that I said I wasn't a dummy, it is amazing how much everyone on this website knows about the WWII era. It does make me feel a little dumb.

I realise that the post to which I refer was made several years ago, made by member SEMENOV. He makes reference to a book by two White Russians who served in the Spain during the Civil War.
