What ever happened to David HMAS Sydney

Postby abc123 on 07 Jun 2012 13:58

Like the topic states what ever happened to this guy after he made all sorts of fantastic statements about survivors from HMAS Sydney and buried bodies near Exmouth Gulf in Western Australia.

Have not heard a peep for a few years now, sounds like a stirrer and teller of fantasy tales.

Isn't it obvious? Since the wreck of the Sydney was found, his wild theories have been thoroughly discredited. Nothing left for him to say.

Was his real name David Angwin? Angwin appeared before the Sydney inquiry in late 2008 and his claims of a mass burial in sandhills were dismissed as 'mere stories' by the QC Jack Rush. He's had over 4 years to dig for the remains but I haven't heard of any evidence found to date. Heard a rumour Angwin works as a waiter in Adelaide.

It will be almost 3 years since he claimed that Japanese submarine sailors from I-67 were also buried in this "mass grave". I called him on this ridiculous fantasy, and he said he would sort out I-67's crew later. Needless to say, I'm still waiting for a reply.

While he may believe his own stories, few if anyone else does. That is likely why he has never responded with "proof" of these stories.

Hello all.
Still at it.
Just dropped a ROV at 112.55 and 26 looking for a historic wreck from 1941.
Would like to contact the HSK Kormoran Association re some Legal Liabilities they still have from the 19th and 20th November 1941.

davidangwin@hotmail.com

Would like to contact the Families of the IJN I 67 in Japan as well.

Im afraid I have some aweful news for them.

Am in negotiations with the German Embassy in Canberra at present with Germanys prime responsibility for the HMAS Sydney II total loss.

The Australian Federal Government abolished the death penalty in 1973: Death Penalty Abolition Act 1973 (Cth). All Australian States and Territories have abolished the death penalty. Get up to speed David.

HSK Kormoran opened fire flying a white flag registered as a Dutch neutral.
No statute of limitations for Nazi warcrimes.
Primary responsibility for the HMAS Sydney II total loss lies with Nazi Germany.
Good news is the Royal Australian Navy and the Australian Federal Police wont be pursuing the death penalty for the HSK Kormoran survivors.
What justice fir the lost 645 HMAS SYDNEY II crew however?
