US Navy in Vladivostok, August 1937

I was wondering if anyone can recommend me a good book with any photographs about the visit of the US Asiatic Fleet in the Soviet port of Vladivostok in July 1937. On 28th July 1937 a small squadron of five ships - Whipple (DD-217), Alden (DD-211), Barker (DD-213) and Paul Jones (DD-230) plus the Fleet flagship heavy cruiser Augusta (CA-31) - arrived at Vladivostok, USSR, on the 28th July 1937.

I am for some time now in contact with an elderly US Navy Veteran of the Asiatic Fleet who was aboard the USS Alden (DD-211), when they arrived in Vladivostok in summer 1937 and he would really like to see some pictures taken during that visit. And me too, to be quite honest. :D I am having some Soviet film footage of this interesting visit on my VHR cassette, which I took from one of the French TV historical documentary several years ago, but I don't have the necessary equipment to make the photos, so I was wondering if anyone of you could perhaps contribute . . . anything . . .

Thanks in advance.

Hello Klemen,
I have several photographs of US sailors from the five ships being entertained by the Soviet Navy.
I am interested in your VHR cassette recording of the French TV historical documentary. I can convert it to a DVD for you.

Hello Klemen,
I am still interested in your video of the USS Augusta’s 1937 Vladivostok visit and sharing photos of the visit with you.
