If I am not wrong, there were 3 (=THREE) PzD operational and capable to join the fighting on 6 june .The remainder were not operational/to far away .
Of the three (21st, 12th SS and Lehr) only 21st was under Rommel's direct control. The other two were designated OKW reserves with the stipulation that their release could only come from Hitler directly. Furthermore, both were located far behind the beaches (Lehr was over 100 miles away). All this meant that 2/3 of the available panzer reserves were unable to arrive in time to attack when the Allies were the most vulnerable.
