Hitler's Personal Train

#1

My neighbor, a Korean war vet, was in Virginia for basic army training during 1949/1950 and actually saw what he says was Hitler's armored train Engine #L52 3874. He actually has photos of him with the train at boot camp with his buddies. The engine was covered with iron plate and could be removed as seen in his photos. He managed to rip off a circular plate from the inside of the engineers cab which I have attached. He would like to know where the engine is today so he can return the plate. The image maybe too small to read. See attached plate. Does anyone know where this engine L52 3874 is today? We hope it was not scrapped after arrival in the USA.
