I think this is German, I speak it, but it appears to be in Sütterlin and I can't make heads or tails or it. It's from a photo that belonged to a family friend who fell in Stalingrad. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi Nichte, thank you for your kind help. Yes, that makes sense. The soldier's surname was Weber and the photograph was of his parents.

Need help with the #5.

The others were very easy: the Kaiser, [Gen Sixt] v Armin, (Kmdr IV Korps), Kronprinz v Bayern, Gen [Fritz] v Below (Kmdr AOK1, superior formation of IV Korps ) circa summer 1916 in Somme.

As for #5, it seems to be v B.....en? The "B" is the same way it was written for "Below" and the "n" is similar to the end of "Bayern"

Wow that's some artistic "h". But it makes a lot of sense. Max v Boehn was Kmdr IX Res Korps under AOK 1 in August 1916 in Somme.

Hi, I just noticed this thread and am wondering if anyone could help translated 3 old German letters sent to the family of a KIA member of AA19 (Lt Rainer von Cramon) in May of 1940.

The letter with the date 16.6.40 is not related to his KIA. It´s also showing one page, why not the second too as it´s clearly interrupted?
Why hiding the text partialy in the last photo, how to translate this text then?
Will do tommorow, time for bed now.

Sorry, these are how I received them from the family, I did not scan them. I was told 034 and 035 were condolences, not sure about 032.

Here´s the transcribtion of the first letter:
"

Meine Tinte ist alle, ich werde mich
bemühen auch mit Blei deutlich zu schrei-
ben. Seit deinem letzten Urlaub ist
nun Entscheidendes geschehen. Du kannst
Die denken wie elektrisiert die ......
... waren aber zum Ruhme unseres
fabelhaften Vokes sei gesagt- so habe
ich es mir wenigstens erzählen lassen [insert from the left margin: Ich war ja in der Klinik]dass niemand
die äußere Ruhe verlies. Das Vertrauen
in Führung + Wehrmacht durchdringt eh
alle. Deine Karte war uns ein großer Trost.
Das gute Lischen schickte mir auch Deinen
Brief, der aber älter zu sein scheint als

It´s obvious that there must be a continuation of the letter somewhere as it´s ends abruptly in the middle of a sentence.
