some help German to English

Hello all,

The sentence below is from an Engineer KstN. I suspect they are referring to the planks/bridging used by engineers in creating bridges for vehicle use. I am just not sure about my sentence structure and if I got everything correct. Any help is appreciated.

“In a special arrangement the army can provide an additional 4m of bridging equipment with a 3t open truck and two drivers.”

Many Thanks,
Richard

Hi Richard,

a "Spurtafel" is a piece of iron (wooden boards or similar material) to connect pontoons and build the driveway over a temporary bridge.
