Probably you're right with the “Nordsturm” very nice job. I don't see any Zoecke / Zonke on the U-3521's crew.
Ab. Masch. Parthel, Masch. Ob.Mt. Börger, Mtr. Gefr. Olthoff, Masch. Gefr. Dehmelt are members of the U-3521's crew: http://historisches-marinearchiv.de/pro ... var2=wert2
Thank you very much nichte

I just scanned the 3rd May 1945 in both pages, the last of the U-3521's U-Boat career:

What I read.
How sad.
According to the link in my last post (year 1941):
"11. Aug.: An Kapitän Paul Zoecke in Danzig übergeben" (Nordsturm), so he would have been in charge of it.
I assume that Zoecke was not on the crew of 3521, , but entered the 3521 from his ship “Nordsturm”, possibly to check the situation for himself. I am not sure if he helped the crew get onto his ship for safety, just my speculation. I could be completely wrong about it.

Hello Hiltraut,
but your link tells us that the ship "Nordsturm" has been renamed into "Nordkap" in February 1945?
Also I doubt that the first name in the logbook reads "Paul".

Nichte your deduction is really good and motivated but I received another possibility:
12.30 h Frl. (Fräulein) Ulin Zoecke/Zonke an Bord.
17.00 h D. "Nordsturm" in See / Lee
Gepäckübergabe
Frl. Zoecke/Zonke mit Schlauchboot auf d. "Nordsturm" übergesetzt"

So I think It's a lady... ¨Frl. Ulin Zoecke/Zonke¨ Maybe a wife of some of the crew.
Thanks for your post history1 about Nordsturm, yes it puts ¨Der Reeder verlegt nach Verlust von Familie und Büro den Sitz der Reederei nach Orth. auf der Insel Fehmarn. Das Schiff war inzwischen auf NORDKAP umbenannt worden¨ but probably they used the old name yet... Who knows.

Dear nichte, thank you very much for all your effort on transcript this U-3521 Log's Book and Guest's Book. It has been a long work with many interesting information and a sad final like all of us knew. Now I will try to understand the meaning of some parts. Kriegsmarine argot etc.
