Hi,

Who could explain to me why on earth you have a such difference in ranks for the same position???

Isn't there any mistake?

Willab

I would, suggest that the difference reflects the importance of the post which decreased somewhat from 1940 as the number of camps increased. Can I ask about Norbert Scharf was he Kdt temporary 4.7.34 - 19.10.34 probably deputising for Eicke

KL Kaiserwald> SS-Hauptsturmführer Eduard Roschmann

http://migs.concordia.ca/memoirs/rodak- ... dak15.html

KL Salaspils> Heinrich Himmler 1943 considered for a short time to change to the concentration camp really and to put in charge of it to RSH, but it did not come to that.

Much greetings...

Long time no see....

I had to wake this old thread of mine when I read something that cought my memory regarding if or if not
Alexander Reiner served as Kdt of the KL Dachau.

I now know why different sources say either way. It was very simple, in the book "Das war Dachau" by Stanislav Zámecnik

So to end I can say that Reiner was only Kdt on the paper, and never acually commanded the Camp.

Best regards,

Georg

What about Richard Thomalla? Was he appointed as a commander of Sobibor before SS-Hauptsturmführer Franz Stangl as well as in Treblinka before SS-Obersturmführer Irmfried Eberl?
