Who knows this officer??
SS-Hauptsturmführer Hans Klauss.
In March 1945 he was with III./SS-Gebirgsjäger-Regiment 12 ‘Michael Gaissmair’/6. SS-Gebirgs-Division ‘Nord’.
He received the German Cross in Gold on 10-03-1945.

I also have an SS-Ustuf Hans Klauss who was Erkennungs-Offizier with SS-Flak-Abteilung 8. Maybe identical to the SS-Hauptsturmführer Hans-Klauss??

I also have an SS-Ustuf Klauss who was Platooncommander with 2.Batterie from SS-Flak-Abteilung 'Ost'. To whom is he identical??

Mike - If you would invest in some good reference books, you would not be fooled by the misinformation from the Internet that you are quoting. The Klauss who received the DKiG in 1945 was NOT in the "Nord" division, but in the "Florian Geyer" as an Ostuf. and is described in Mark Yerger's Vol 4 of DKiG holders and also listed in Scheibert*s book on DKiG holders. His Personalakte can be found in Part 2 of my Führerliste der Waffen-SS publication.

Just out of curiosity, can you please tell us the titles of the reference books or NARA microfilm/DVDs that you have purchased during the past 24 months?

Hello John, thanks for your reaction. Well, a fool can get fooled by misinformation from the internet, that's something I'm already aware of for some time. At least now I know that this piece of info is incorrect as well.

The Klauss who received the DKiG in 1945 was NOT in the "Nord" division, but in the "Florian Geyer" as an Ostuf.
Okay, thanks.

This is all still on my list.

None. Since I'm still paying of some depths I just don't have the money for doing this, I need the money for other things. The last item I bought was somewhat two years ago and I believe it was a KTB

Mike - There is nothing wrong with going into debt to obtain useful rersearch material. That's what I did and I probably owed over USD 25,000 in credit card debt 20 years ago for NARA microfilm, books and research trips to Europe. Those debts are paid after many years and I have no regrets.
