Greetings, I'm new to the forums and I couldn't find any posts for this topic. My grandfather was in the Ordungspolizei from 1936-1945, but the only photo we possess is in black&white and both my grandparents are deceased so I can't ask (my mom didn't know)...were the Ordungspolizei wearing green or gray uniforms and we're the cuffs/collar brown or black?
I ask because I'm painting and Ordungspolizei company for Bolt Action.
Thanks.

If you do a Google Image search for 'Ordungspolizei Uniform' there are plenty of examples to aid you in you project.

Re: Ordungspolizei Uniform Colors
I guess that is where the confusion arises. The search shows them to be either green, gray, or a mix of both colors. I guess I will stick with green uniforms, brown cuffs, and black shoulder tabs.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Re: Ordungspolizei Uniform Colors
Having held one of these tunics, they are certainly not field Grey.
I'd recommend highlighting the tunic and trousers with Vallejo 891 Intermediate Green and picking up a copy of German Security and Police Soldier 1939-45 (Williamson).
Hope it helps.
Stuart.

Re: Ordungspolizei Uniform Colors
Thanks Stuart it does! The book I have on German Security Forces has a painting in the middle of the book that shows them in field gray uniforms with green waffenfarbe. The painting tip is extremely helpful too.
