Dear Forum

Does anyone know how many officers held the rank of Generalmajor der Feuerschutzpolizei?

Best regards

I thought all general offiers carried the title "d. Ordnungspolizei", later "d. Polizei". If the general officer served in the Feuerloschwesen Inspectorate, he carried an "F" on the shoulder board. Gen.Maj. Dr. Ing. Johannes Meyer was General Inspekteur of the Fire fighting forces and still was GenMaj d. Polizei, later GenLt.

Here is the relevant page from the 9. Nov. 1944 SS-Dienstaltersliste recording a Dr. Johannes Meyer at number 169 as SS-Gruppenführer und Gen. Lt. d. Polizei from 20 April 1944.

I suppose he wishes to see pictorial evidence of the rank. The DAL will not suffice.

In the first two photos you can see the SS runes just below his left breast pocket denoting full membership of the SS.
