Mike, you don't by any chance have some information about that Albert Joyeux?
Sorry for my late response
Michael
Hello Stormman,
Thanks for telling us the Christian name from Bohez, this is indeed totally new information for me. Never heard about this officer so what's written here is very welcome.
And no, I only had the Christian name from Joyeux, no further information.
Not about Albert and not about Wilhelm, sorry.
Greetings,
Mike

Re: flemish SS officers Bohez and others
First Name of Joyeux was NOT Wilhelm.
His Name was WILLAUME EMMA ALFONS Joyeux. Due to his french Name (which is difficult to pronounce fpr Germans) they called him "Willi Joyeux" and also "Willhelm Fröhlich" (Fröhlich is the german translation of Joyeux). He was part of 2. SS-Panzerdivision "Das Reich" although he was Vlaam he was just for short periods in "Wiking" and "Langemarck". He becme German during war and married 1945 as german, which saved his life after war, because as "german" he was not handed to belgians (he joined Waffen-SS in 1940) by the U.S. Army.
