Here is the table of officers from the Kriegstagbuch of the I./SS-Panzergrenadier Rgt. 21 (called Rgt. 1 at the time) for the period 15.2.1943 - 14.12.1943. Would someone like to research how many of these 48 officers survived the war and post the result here?

Hello John,

I checked these officers in your precious Führerliste.
In fact only 25 officers are concerned some names being written several times as Siebert Wilhelm (4 times).
12 died
5 missing
8 have survived.
Laubscheer, Heinz, Ostubaf
Dietrich, Karl Stubaf,
Gropp, Kurt, Hstuf.
Stadler, Siegfried, Ostuf
Siebert, Walter, Hstuf.
Kurth, Heinz, Ostuf.
Peter, Albert, Ostuf.
Salzer, Erich, Ustuf.

I copied the list (part) of these 25 officers , if you wish I could post it.

Best regards

Patrick

Patrick - That was an interesting result where you found only 8 of the 25 men appeared to have survived the war. That is a high casualty rate. Since I can find that only one of the 8 men died of old age, it is possible that some of the other men were also KIA/MIA in 1945, a very bad time for the "Frundsberg".

Very interesting readingstuff John, thanks for posting it.
I have one little question.
On the first page SS-Ostuf Roland Vogl is adjudant with I. Btl.
On the second page SS-Ostuf Roland Vogl is suddenly with 3. Kp but I can't read what he did there(what his task was).

Can someone help me with this???

Thanks,
Mike

"stellv.Kp.Cf" is an abbreviation for "Stellvertretend Kompanie Chef" which means acting company commander.

Below is the commanders list from March 1, 1945.

Thanks John. And yes, I know what it means but I just couldn't read what was written down. But this explains a lot of course because he well could be adjudant and acting company commander at the same time.

And thanks for posting the other two files, it's again amazing reading stuff.

Related to the 9 and 10.SS-Panzer Divisions was the HQ of the II.SS-Panzer Korps. Below are the officer registers from that organization for June - July 1943.

Commander list for the "Nordland" Division from July 1943. Besides the SS-Panzergrenadier Regiments "Norge" and "Danmark" a Rgt. "Nederland" also appears. Then there is the Panzer Regiment with two Abteilungs.
