where did you got that Information about Harry Geisler? He was my Grandfather, I never met him personally, he died before I was born, but lately I began to search the Net for him. My Father always spoke very high of him, but never got into detail. The only thing I found so far, was this site:

Geissler (SS Hauptsturmführer, chef du KDS de Vichy) : Le 12 juin 1944, à Murat, lors d'une opération menée par des maquisards qui tentaient de libérer une douzaine de personnes que venait d'arrêter la Gestapo de Vichy, est reconnu, et abattu sur place.
Au cours de l'été 1943 la Gestapo multiplia des actions simultanées contre Mithridate et l'ORA. En juillet 43, le capitaine SS Hugo Geissler des "Sonderkommando" réussi à arrêter à Vichy deux agents de Mithridate, qui devaient aller implanter une nouvelle antenne à Rennes et qui transportaient des documents, des armes et des appareils radio. Cela lui avait permis d'accumuler des informations, qui aboutirent au mois d'octobre à plus d'une quinzaine d'arrestations, dont notamment, le 10 octobre, celles des deux chefs régionaux : André Aalberg et Paul Gaubin.

Numery czlonkow SS gives the SS-number 50.905 to Willi Kurzner and not to Harry Geisler.

Hello Mike,

My mistake. Harry Geisler, head of Kripo with KdS Warschau was not an SS member, only "Uniformträger".
