Looking for info on SSPF Lemberg
Looking for info on SSPF Lemberg
Hello All,
I am looking for info on the SSPF Lemberg and the SS unit or units sent to Drohobycz winter of 1941-42.To be more precise I would like to know the officiers sent to Drohobycz. From my reseach there were no EGr's active in the Drohobyc area but I could be wrong. And is there any way to find out if there were any courtmartials of SS officiers connected to their actions in Drohobycz.
Thanks in advance.
Best wishes,
Satasga

Interesting thread folks.
I already had a short file on Walter Kutschmann but this info was new for me.
Still, some things are missing and hopefully somebody can help me with it.
Does somebody know the full DoB from Kutschmann, I only have 1915??
And does someone has his party- and SS-number???
As DoD I've August 1986, does someone also knows the day of his death???
I had nothing on Wenzel so if someone can help me out with some more info on this officer, that would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

Hello George_W,
Thanks for the DoB of Kutschmann and for the day of his death.
Now hopefully somebody can tell us his party- and SS-number as well.
By the way, he was released on 29-6-1975, he disappeared after his release and on 15-11-1985 he was again arrested by the police from Argentina.
Many thanks for the info on Wenzel, that was very welcome indeed.
Greetings,
Mike

Hello Ludger,
Most of it I already had, I only missed his complete DoD and now I see it's 30-9-1986 instead of 30-8-1986.
He was living in Argentina under the name Pedro or Peter Ricardo Olmo.
After he had fled in 1975 he was long missing but in 1985 it seems he was spotted at Miramar in Brazil.
Greetings,
Mike

Kutschmann
I doubt there were two Walter Kutschmann's in SIPO service so the following information may well apply to the fugitive in south America:
Kutschmann had fought in the Spanish civil war in the 1930s.
He served in Poland until transferred to SIPO France.
In April 1944 SS-Ostuf KK Walter Kutschmann was the
Leiter, Grenzpolizeikommissariat Hendaye on the French/Spanish
border when he deserted the post and fled into Spain taking
with him "a large sum of money".
Kutschmann noted as "very elegant, speaks good Spanish."
Thus a good 12 months before the end of the war in Europe
Kutschmann was looking to the future.
