Otto Barnewald Was the Verwaltungsleiter of the KL Buchenwald, before Buchenwald did he serve at KL Neuengamme and KL Arbeitsdorf. Was condemed to death after the war, but the sentence was commuted to Life. I think he was released in the 60´s.
His rank was SS-Stubaf

Oberscharführer Hermann Michel was Stangl's deputy commander in Sobibor, soon replaced by Gustav Wagner. In Sobibor he was on "ramp" duty and often made the opening speech for new arrivals. The source for Hermann Michel is definitely Gitta Sereny's "Into that Darkness"; Stangl talks quite a bit about him as they knew each other already from Police and T4 days.

Hans Biebow
1902-1947

Head of the Lodz ghetto administration. Former coffee importer from Bremen in Germany.

Captured in Germany after the war and extradited to Poland, where he was tried and executed for his role in the operation and liquidation of the ghetto.

Lodz was the longest lived of the ghettos, with several hundred Jews surviving in the ghetto until the arrival of the Red Army in 1945.

Biebow saw the ghetto as a place to produce useful materials for the German war effort, not merely as a site to hold Jews prior to deportation. It this view he was echoed by Rumkowski, head of the Lodz Judenrat. This enabled the ghetto to remain a going concern after other ghettos had been liquidated, postponing the fate that entailed for the inhabitants.
"If I looked like Himmler, I wouldn't go on about race so much"
- Albert Forster, Gauleiter Danzig West Prussia
