Re: SS ID Quiz
Could the Hstuf be Kurt Launer ?
Re: SS ID Quiz
No Georges, it's not Launer.
Later on both officers continued their career elsewhere: 1941 SS-Kampfgruppe Nord (left person) and SS-Division Wiking (right person).
Best,
Bogo

Re: SS ID Quiz
Apparently knowledge of the pre-war SS-Totenkopfverbände is very poor.
Therefore a few additional clues:
- left person severely wounded in Russia 1941 as SS-Hst. and co-cdr. in SS-Kampfgruppe "Nord" (loss of eye, loss of hand)
- right person kia in Russia 1941 as SS-Hst. and btl.cdr. in SS-Division "Wiking".

Re: SS ID Quiz
Hi,
Left man looks like to me SS-Stubaf. Herbert Rautenberg...
Right person might be SS-Hstuf. Willi Bredemeier?
Andrey.

Re: SS ID Quiz
Very well, Andrey!
Herbert Rautenberg is correct. At the time of the picture SS-Hst. and cdr. 8./1. SS-T-Standarte "Oberbayern".
However, other person is not Bredemeier.
It is Kurt Albert. At the time of the picture SS-Ost. and cdr. 2./1. SS-T-Standarte "Oberbayern".
Kia in Russia being btl.cdr. SS-Pion.Btl. "Wiking" 22-11-1941.
Nevertheless,I pass my turn to you, Andrey. Maybe you have something of interest concerning the SS-TV?
Best wishes,
Bogo
