Dear Dylan,

Sorry for my late reply as I have overlooked your post at the new page 2. Thank you very much.
Are you positive that Kunesch who was in Bordeaux in 1943-1944 was Rudolf Kunesch? I would like to find out if he was the same person as Rudolf Kunesch from Fürstenfeld, who was the head of Gestapo post in Središče (Polstrau) since 1.7.1941, subordinate to Gestapo in Ptuj. It seems he was at Gestapo in Celje in november 1942.
Do you know anything more about Rudolf Kunesch born 13.2.1909 that could confirm he was the same person as Rudolf Kunesch from Fürstenfeld and the same person as SS-Obersturmführer Kunesch in Bordeaux in 1943-1944?

Kind regards.

I wonder if somebody knows whether the information below refer to the same person:

Hptm.d.SchP. Johann Mechels was commanding officer of the Pol.Wach-Btl. Wien in 1942 but was succeeded by Hptm.d.SchP. Josef Karpf that same year. The Company Wien was active in Slovene region Štajerska (Untersteiermark) since May 1941.

SS-Major Johann Mechels was SD chief in Groningen and Bereichskommandant Groningen-Friesland-Drenthe of Ordnungspolizei in Netherlands. He was responsible for the execution of 16 civilians on 3.5.1943 for which he was arrested in 1949, sentenced to 14 years of imprisonment but left free on 22.12.1954 and expelled to Germany.

I've got additional information on Georg Kramhöller. Here's the summary:

He was born 28.1.1905 in Rietzmeiss near Regen.
His last residency was in München, Loristrasse 30.
He finished primary school and a 3-year continuation school.
In 1921-1923 he worked on his stepbrother's farm.
In 1923 he worked on a farm as a farm-worker.
In 1923 he joined the Police.
Soon he worked for Schupo and later for Kripo.
After annexation of Austria to the Third Reich he was assigned to Kripo in Klagenfurt, Austria.
In May 1941 he was transferred first to Maribor then to Ljutomer and finally to Trbovlje.
He was the Gestapo leader in Trbovlje 8.8.1941 – 26.1.1943 and again 1.4.1943 – 1.2.1945.
He was the Gestapo leader in Celje since 1.2.1945.
He was arrested 21.5.1941 by Slovene security forces.
He was sentenced to death by hanging on Thursday June 26, 1947 at 15.00 hours by the military court in Maribor.
He was Kriminalsekretär and SS-Untersturmführer.

Regards

P.S.
Remember me when you find something on SS-Untersturmführer Herbert Stössel (Stössl) born 2.11.1891 in Zwikau. He was transferred from Maribor to Bruxelles in May 1943.

Hello,

Georg Kramhöller was not executed after to be sentenced to death by hanging.

After trial he collaborated with Yugoslav Secret police UDBA for at least 2 Years like Gauleiter Friedrich Rainer.*

He was co-operative also before trial ( in the interrogation proces by UDBA).

* after the Book Ljuba Dornik Šubelj: OZNA in prevzem oblasti 1944-1946, Ljubljana 2013

This has to be a typing-error I suppose.
I think this must be 21.5.1945 instead of 21.5.1941

Walter Gielke
Kriminalsekretär and SS-Hauptscharführer Walter Gielke was deputy to the Gestapo leader Georg Kramhöller in Trbovlje 8.8.1941 – 26.1.1943 and again 1.4.1943 – 1.2.1945.
Walter Gielke was the Gestapo leader in Trbovlje 1.2.1943 – 7.5.1945. His deputy was Kriminalsekretär and SS-Hauptscharführer Fritz Markl.
Gielke's wife worked in the Gestapo office administration as a typewriter in 1944.
The information that Walter Gielke was the Gestapo leader in Ptuj which I posted 1.4.2011 seems quite doubtful to me now.

Herbert Stössl (Stössel)
Kriminalobersekretär and SS-Untersturmführer Herbert Stössl (Stössel) was the Gestapo leader in Trbovlje 26.1.1943 – 1.4.1943.
He was born on 2.11.1891 in Zwikau.
It is possible that he was transferred from Trbovlje to Bruxelles.
I'm interested in any further information about him.

I am surprised that nobody put some sources (archives, books....).

My source is secret book for teaching the Members of UDBA (in serbian language:Uprava Drzavne Bezbednosti; State secret police) in former Yugoslavia. This Book was edited as manuscriptin Belgrade 1957 from UDB (State Security Office of Yugoslavia). Book title is: Nemačka obaveštajna služba.
You can checked my Data from the Book on link: http://znaci.net/00003/518.htm

Data about Stössel Herbert and Gestapo Ptuj/Pettau from the Book:

He was from the begining Gestapo leader in Ptuj (Leiter Aussendienststelle Pettau) till januar 1943.
Between Stössel absence in 1942 on his post was Alfred Meier.
Walter Gielke was Gestapo leader in Ptuj some month in 1943.
Gestapo leader in Ptuj from june 1943 till september 1944 was Josef Kouba.
From september 1944 till the end Gestapo leader was Paul Buchwald.

Data about Gestapo Trbovlje/Trifail:

Yes, Herbert Stössel was the Gestapo leader in Trbovlje/Trifail from januar 1943 till april 1943.
From the februar 1945 till the end Gestapo leader was Walter Gielke.

Hello trekker,

thanks to put source for your Data.

Maybe it is important to say, that Karel Forte was a member of UDBA-Yugoslav Secret Police (and before OZNA) since the begining. He was participant in the WW 2 on side of partisans, so he must know the right data.

I've noticed my old post unanswered but I can answer it myself now: In 1943 Rudolf Kunesch WAS transferred from Untersteiermark/Štajerska to Bordeaux, France.
