Hello all

I'm looking for more pictures of KC-recipient SS-Ostubaf. Herbert Kuhlmann.
I see that his rank is everywhere Stubaf. but there is a date of promotion known to Ostubaf. on 30. Jan. '45 on this site :
http://home.att.net/~SSPzHJ/HerbertKuhlmann.html
It's also very confusing that he is listed under Stubaf. on this site

There's also no mention of PAB anywere , does somebody know when he get it ?

Then there's also a mention on this page in his bio that he went on 25-3 '42 to SS Pz Abt. III . That's SS-TK ! Can someone confirm that ?
http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... t=kuhlmann
That would mean that he went from :
Wiking to TK , then to DR ,and then to LSSAH , and finally to HJ
So he served in all famous SS-Pz Div !! 8O

If somebody have his Personal File let me know please
[email protected]

Thanks a lot

Hardigan

Don't know anymore where the photo came from

He also was a member of the SS-Btl "Nürnberg" in which many "famous" SS-Officers served in before the war.
some of them was Knittel, Tychsen, Ax, Deutsch, etc.

Best reg.

Georg

I am not fully convinced that it´s Kuhlmann on that last photo, it´s a very poor photo and in profile
so it can be anyone

Hello

In Patrick Agte's book on Peiper, there are some 4 or 5 pictures of Kuhlman. In this second posted picture I also doubt it is him.

Agte mentions that Herbert Kuhlman got seriously injured in the fightings in Normandy and that he never got back to the LAH. Other than a few observations, comparing him to Peiper, there is not much userful info on Kuhlman in that book. Hopefully this thread will help far more.

regards

Garlo

The last posted photo matches the first one of this topic. So I would say in both we see the same man.

And with this 'younger' picture I can imagine that it's him in the group photo

Sorry when i have to say that hardigan!!!!
But the group-picture you are discussing is the tankcrew of
the later Ritterkreuzträger Lois Kalss (during this time he was SS-Ustuf.!)
The picture was taken in Juli 1943!
The second from right is still living and on the very right is standing SS-Uscha. Hobohm!
I have held the origin-picture in my hand!
You can see maybe the best tank-crew of schw.Kp. during the Kursk-Fightings!
