Re: 2./6. SS-Sturmbrigade Langemarck
Normally SS-Ustuf Ferdinant Beernaert was CO from 2. Kompanie in June 1944.
Also served in 2. Kompanie: SS-Ustuf Sven Eric Martenson and SS-Ustuf Albert Swinnen.
I still didn't find the Christian name from SS-Ostuf Delft.
And I don't know if Martenson was CO from 1. Platoon
Greetings,
Mike

Yes, I've got more names who served in the 2. Kompanie but I don't know exactly where to place them or give them a timeline. SS-Untersturmführer Josef van Bockel also served in the 2. Kompanie. What about SS-Hauptsturmführer Helmut Breymann, did he also took over the command of the 2. Kompanie?Mikedc wrote:Normally SS-Ustuf Ferdinant Beernaert was CO from 2. Kompanie in June 1944.

I know Breymann was CO from 2. Kompanie with the Legion 'Flandern' in 1942. And later on, till the time of his death, he was CO from II. Btl. with SS-Regiment 48. But I don't know if he ever commanded the 2. Kompanie with the

Ustuf. Albert Swinnen and Frans Swinnen
OK, I'm very confuse.
I got Alert Swinnen
B: 06.01.15 (From Freddiefro)
and I got Frans Swinnen
B: 06.01.15
KIA 26.01.744 in Estonia
SS-Ustuf., Chef 1./SS-Frw.Brig. "Langemarck" 07.44
SS-Standartenoberjunker 11.KJL, J.Sch. Bad Tölz 03.44
SS-Nr.: ?
SS-Standartenoberjunker: 10.03.44
SS-Ustuf: 21.06 44
Are they the same person? Or are they twin or they are two different people? Help!

Re: 2./6. SS-Sturmbrigade Langemarck
Hello Waffen-IDF,
They're the same, most likely his name was Albert Franz or Franz Albert.
But I've Albert with 2. Kompanie instead of with 1. Kp. with 6. SS-Freiwilligen-Sturmbrigade.
Here the entry from Swinnen on the VDK-site:
Nachname: Swinnen
Vorname: Albert
Dienstgrad: Sturmführer
Geburtsdatum: 06.01.1915
Geburtsort: Baehm This has to be Balen
Todes-/Vermisstendatum: 27.07.1944 I also have 26.07.1944 as DoD besides 27.07.1944. So most likely he got seriously wounded on 26.07.1944 and died of his wounds on 27.07.1944 at the hospital in Kinderheim
Todes-/Vermisstenort: Kinderheim westl.Narwa/Estld.

Hi,
Does someone have some more information about Albert Swinnen (see above) and his familimember Louis Swinnen?
Louis should be an SS-grenadier der Stamm-Kompanie/Grenadier-Ersatz-Bataillon Ost.
They lived in my hometown, Mol, Belgium.
Best regards,
Wim
