Re: An unknown SS-officer
Thanks Andrey!
So he was as SS-Gruf. assigned to SS Abschnitt V (5) in Essen, as could be seen by his cuffband..?

Re: An unknown SS-officer
Schlessmann was attached to the command staff of SS-Abschnitt V from October 1937. He was entitled to wear the cufftitle. He was Police President of Essen in October 1937 and was Deputy Gauleiter to Terboven in Essen. He administered the duties of Gauleiter for Terboven during his absence in Norway. Schlessmann was promoted to SS-Gruf. on 30 Jan. 1942 and to SS-O'Gruf. on 9 Nov. 1944.Herr Otto wrote: So he was as SS-Gruf assigned to SS Abschnitt V (5) in Essen, as could be seen by his cuffband..?

Re: An unknown SS-officer
I assume you are talking about the attached Fritz Fritz Schleßmann the stellvertretender Gauleiter of Essen.
Are there any other photos of him.The one from the Norwegian archives is the first one to see him apart from the two common portraits of him in the net
