the Picture from Strrop Report-I'm no expert but isn't the hat insignia officer in right foreground is wearing-Waffen SS?
And Doesn't he have shoulder boards of a SS General?

Did Gestapo Chiefs ever wear a Uniform such as in Stroop report photograph?

Lastly any idea where this picture was taken?

And since this thread has been revived... In case anyone missed it, the man who is often identified as Karl Kaleske has been ID'd last summer as Erich Steidtmann. http://sz-magazin.sueddeutsche.de/texte/anzeigen/33508/
So that puts another name to a famous face from the Stroop report photos.

Hmm...to me the chap in the leather coat looks thinner in the face than Von Herff, but older than Hahn...

Would really like to know who he is.

Also, as to the men he is addressing, are they likely to be agents in the pay of the Germans, or captured fighters under interrogation? If Stroop said they were "Jewish Traitors" would it benefit him in any way to lie? Except maybe just to blacken the Jews' name...

What do you all think?
