Re: Hstufs Siebert and Darnert and Stubaf Moser
Hello Georges,
Thank you very much, that must be the Moser I'm looking for. When someone has more on him, hope he can share that.
And regarding Darnert, I think it must be Barnert since I also did find the following officer in the 'Das Reich'-Division:
SS-Sturmbannführer Walther Barnert(indoctrination-officier/VI 9-42/9-11-42).
So hopefully someone can tell me if this could be Barnert who was with SS-Division 'Deutschland' in September 1940...
Thanks,
Mike

Re: Hstufs Siebert and Darnert and Stubaf Moser
I've found a Standartenführer Hans Moser in my files, most likely identical to the Hans Moser that Georges mentions...
Hans Moser.
Born on 20-11-1907.
Member SS(nr. 276.746).
SS-Standartenführer.
In September 1944 he was employed within the SS-WVHA.

Hello Phil,
Thanks for the info on Hubert Siebert, I only had in my files that he was SS-Stubaf and IIa with XVIII. SS-Armee-Korps.
But he's not the one I'm looking for, since he was no Dr. and the Siebert I'm looking for was serving with Abt. IV in September 1940. I've found an officer in my files who could be identical to the Siebert I'm looking for: Dr. Hans Siebert, born on 24-11-1899. Party-nr. 6.792.526 and SS-nr. 351.337. Promoted to SS-Stubaf on 20-4-42, but I don't have anything prior to his service with SS-Pz.-Art.-Rgt. 5(10-42 till 10-44).
I can be wrong but I think it's Dr. Hans Siebert who was SS-Hstuf in September 1940 with Abt. IV(as adjudant)instead of Hubert.......By the way, do you have the place of birth from Hubert Siebert???
And do you have anything on the Hans Moser we're talking about here???
Mike

the endocrination officer received instructions and programs from SS-Schulungsamt (SS-Hauptamt). He was involved in political courses for the troops . Therefore, he was under command of the C.O. in his staff.tippette wrote:I mean which is the work of an indocrination officer?
