Re: SS-Obersturmführer Paul Albers
This transfer order from Albers' Personalakte assigns Albers to the 16.SS Div. on 14.12.1943. It would appear that someone made a data entry error on the Führerkarte shown earlier and that this discrepancy was overlooked by the Italian military court .

Re: SS-Obersturmführer Paul Albers
Just in case anyone believes that the date on the transfer order is in error, this promotion recommendation from 30.8.44 mentions that Albers was Adjutant of the Aufklärungs Abteilung 16 since 15.12.1943. It is signed by the unit commander, Walter Reder.

Thanks for posting files John.
I've also noticed when doing research you need to do a lot of double checking
with postings and promotions and date of births.
Best Jamie

And is it correct that he followed an officerscourse at JKS Bad Tölz in 1942??
And I can be wrong but the 14.12.1943 on document Albers,-Paul...8.jpg more looks like 24.12.1943 while in handwriting there's also the date 17.12.1943

Hello Simon. With II./LSSAH I guess you mean II. Infanterie-Bataillon(mot.). But in 1942 we already have the SS-Infanterie-Regiment(mot.)1 and the SS-Infanterie-Regiment(mot.)2 so did he serve with II. Btl. from SS-Infanterie-Regiment 2 in 1942????Oscha. (FA) Albers was transferred from II./LSSAH to the newly created 18.(Aufkl)Kompanie on 18 January 1943 as Kradzug-Führer.
And is it correct that he followed an officerscourse at JKS Bad Tölz in 1942??
