quick question on Skorzeny's early-war military engineering

Author Samuel W. Mitcham, Jr. on p.29 of his book Panzers in Winter: Hitler’s Army & The Battle of the Bulge (Stackpole, 2008) mentions that in 1940 Otto Skorzeny worked in some capacity as a military engineer on developing a ramp to load tanks onto merchant ships (presumably in preparation for Operation SEA LION) - can anyone cite another source to confirm this story? thanks! - R
