Difficult to say.
Sturmscharführer had three squares in the shouder patches, to be compared only with Wehrmach's Generaloberst, or SS-Oberstgruppenführer.
SS-Sturmscharfürer was a very rare rank, demanding at least ten years of service.
Notable is the broad white line in the outer of the batches. I have a feeling that it was usually worn by SS-Fahnen- or SS- Oberfahnenjunkers.
Hope somebody knows - and sees the picture better, than I.

Apparently he was a SS Strumscharfuhrer-see the following photograph-shoulder insignia at the right
