A relative of my mother's, now deceased, had this story to tell. He was in the quartermaster's command of the Division Leibstandarte , was wounded in Holland, and was eventually transferred to the Inspector-General's command, under Paul Hausser. His duties in Russia were in removing supplies and sometimes troops using a fleet of trucks, and after an infraction of discipline, was transferred to France, and was wounded and captured during the "Battle of the Bulge." Any corroboration of this story, or leads to its clarification, would be welcome...
