Information on 5./107. SS-Standarte

#1

Post by Fishvince » 04 Oct 2010, 04:52

My father was a police man working for the criminal investigation department in Bruenn [Brno] and joined the SS sometime in late 1942.

I know that before the end of the war he was taken prisoner and spent 11 years in various camps in Czechoslovakia.

From documents I have obtained from German archives I know that he was part of the 5/107. SS-Standarte. Any efforts to find out more about this guidon have been without success and I was wondering if anybody here has any information/details on them.

Thank you very much in advance!

Hey Phil, thanks for that info. Do you know what sections of the frontline they were engaged and/or if they were involved in any atrocities?

Cheers

V.
