Re: SS-number 2.469
I checked the 1936, 1937 & 1938 SS-DALs and they all show the same SS number (2 469) for both officers. The SS-Verordnungsblatt for 05.09.1935 has Schwohn’s number as 2 469 and the SS-Verordnungsblatt for 02.11.1935 also has Dandl’s number as 2 469. Interesting! (By the way, Mike, Dandl was promoted SS-Ostuf. 09.11.1935, not 09.11.1936).

Re: SS-number 2.469
Hello James,
No, my info about the Badura-guys and my info about Dandl and Schwohn comes from a Polish website that published a whole series of SS-numbers. Don't know where their info comes from.
Fred, thanks for the correction about Dandls promotiondate to SS-Ostuf, but also that info comes from that Polish website. So they made a typing-error overthere. Interesting to see that all the sources you have checked in this matter are showing precisly the same SS-number for both these officers, very interesting indeed......!!!!!!
Thanks guys, Mike

Hi Mike,
I noticed that Polish website on the SS a couple of days ago. It used to be a while back you could access all of their material, but now it just shows the names and SS numbers with no access to the rest.
Best,
James

Hello James,
I know what you mean. But you still can find that info, although just on some of the thousands of SS-officers that lived. But it's still there, just follow http://www.dws-xip.pl/reich/biografie/listaB.html and you'll see it.
Greetings, Mike
