Oberscharführer Stalinsky of LSSAH?
Oberscharführer Stalinsky of LSSAH?
My friend has an SS- helmet with the following information on the inside:
Oberscharführer Stalinsky II Lehrgruppe
Some helmet experts have suggesting from the decals that the soldier might have been from the LSSAH. Would anyone have a roster of the Waffe-SS LSSAH and be able to look if any Stalinsky was in that division?
I bet any ss man with that name must have taken a lot of grief.

Re: Oberscharführer Stalinsky of LSSAH?
so its a pre 35 helmet then ?
Re: Oberscharführer Stalinsky of LSSAH?
The helmet is a single decal M40. The outer decal has a slightly clipped corner which was maybe done to simulate the very early special style helmet decals of the AH group.

sounds fake
Re: Oberscharführer Stalinsky of LSSAH?
Could have been just an accident when the decal was applied to the helmet. The guys on the helmet website asked me to research if Stalinsky was a member of the First SS division. I don't know if full roster information is available?
Re: Oberscharführer Stalinsky of LSSAH?
why would you write your name and the 2 training group on your helmet ?
Re: Oberscharführer Stalinsky of LSSAH?
The helmet has a paper tag glued to the inside with 2 lines on it. The first line has his rank and name. The second line has II Lehrgruppe. The paper appears old. Was it applied before 45? I can't prove it either way. Just thought it to be a fun research thing.
