Possible R. Brandt Sighting?

#1

Post by Landsberger » 14 Apr 2011, 23:56

Ran across this photo here:

Is that R. Brandt directly behind RFSS?

Also in backseat, too young to be Kiermaier?

Thanks

Well, that man doesn't really look like Herr Brandt... nothing common with him...
Sorry...

You are wrong, but I think you are referring to the wrong man. The man seated directly behind Himmler could be Brandt. He appears to be wearing spectacles and has a blank collar patch (worn by Brandt for a period.) I do not recognise the officer sitting beside him, but the man in the far back seat looks remarkably like Hans Adolf Prützmann.

Well, there were many officers that could wear spectacles and such a collar patch, but hardly ever many of them could also have that remarkable scar at the left cheek. Sorry, you were right, I was talking about another man.)

I concur with Max that the man smiling in back is Prützmann.

Well actually the left cheek scar was quite common among German officers. A "badge" of honour from student day duelling.
Could the unknown officer be Wagner? Just a suggestion.

I don't really guess about Wagner, but the form of the scar was rather... qurious. It was Y-like, beginning somewhere on the temple and going down under the cheekbone and to the corner of the mouth. His left ear was also cut. So there's a certain way we can find out the truth.
Well, I've heard of Brandt to have a duel once, but I've never known whether it was not a lie. The more I know about him, the less I believe it.

Hi,

Herrn RF-SS doesnt look very happy that someone took picture of him. I wonder if the photographer ended up in Prinz Albrectstrasse?
