SS-Obersturmführer H. Harmgarth

Harry Harmgarth.
Born on 7-5-1910.
Member NSDAP(nr. 841.721).
Member Allgemeine-SS(nr. 19.587).
He got promoted to SS-Obersturmführer on 11-9-1938.

Herbert Harmgarth.
Born on 7-5-1910.
Member NSDAP(nr. 841.713).
Member Allgemeine-SS(nr. 22.949).
He got promoted to SS-Obersturmführer on 9-11-1936.

Is this possible, two persons with precisly the same Familyname born on precisly the dame day??

They both appear in the 1938 DAL
Herbert Harmgath born 7.5.10 SS 22949 Party Nr 841713 Usf 9.11.34 Osf 9.11.36 KIA 8.1942
Harry Harmgarth born 7.5.1910 SS Nr 19587 Party Nr 84721 Usf 30.1.37 Osf 11.9.38

Dienstgrad: Oberleutnant
Geburtsdatum: 07.05.1910

Hello Phil,
Thanks for your confirmation that these are two different persons indeed. And thanks for the extra info. Does the DAL tells you anything more about these men, like their service in the Allgemeine-SS and awards??

Thanks Radevich for this info, I didn't searched for them myself on the VDK-site yet. So it looks like they both were killed at the front. And when the Volksbund is correct, they both served in the Wehrmacht, Herbert as an NCO and Harry as an Officer.
And if the Volksbund is correct, they both also were born on the same day in the same city. So could it happen that they were twins????

The Data comes from 1938 DAL and that was the last DAL that showed every Officer so the ObersturmfÚhrer and Ustf are not shown again

Still one of my questions remain.
So could it happen that they were twins????(born on the same day, same familyname and born in the same city).
