I would say Albrecht Krügel who had bags under his eyes, a sharp nose and hair well pulled backwards. But it's just a mere assumption.

It would depend that he was a Stbf. in 1941........ I can't find any service details for him before 1944.

What about clues from the emblem & "A 5" at bottom of the drawing....unit marking / tradition ?

Yes. If it is a drawing from 1941, then it is not Krügel. There weren't many SS-Ritterkreuzträger by 1941 who held that rank : Kurt Meyer, Fritz Witt, Teddy Wisch. But none of these men look like this portrait.

OK.

Do you know of any online lists of SS-RKT's I could look thro', and try work out a short-list for checking ?

Just thought I'd move this to the top, and see if anyone had further thoughts on identification.....
