Is this Adolf Eichmann?
Is this Adolf Eichmann?
I came with a vintage postcard, showing a group of SA men all with bike goggles over his caps/hats. No doubt this a motorcycle unit.
According the book " BECOMING EICHMAN" by David Cesarini, page 34. says Eichmann was made Motorsturmführer because he own a motorbike in 1933.
the guy far right in pictures some how looks like Eichmann. Could be him?

Re: Is this Adolf Eichmann?
Yes, even the positioning of the head fit - he's like so slightly leaning forward on every photo.
Re: Is this Adolf Eichmann?
Many of the people were and still are slightly leaning forward on photos and there were many Motorsturmführer. I really can't see how this man can be positively identified as Eichmann or anyone else.Ponury wrote:Yes, even the positioning of the head fit - he's like so slightly leaning forward on every photo.

Re: Is this Adolf Eichmann?
Yes, really. Because the face in the initial photo is not visible. You can speculate all you want, and see Eichmann in every blurry and shadow-covered face in every vintage photo, but it's simply immature to even think of an ID based such "evidences" as the ones presented above.

Re: Is this Adolf Eichmann?
The man is leaning slightly forward because that is the natural body language of anyone having their photo taken in a group. Look at the other men. The natural instinct is to lean towards the centre of the group.
Of course Ivan is quite right. To suggest that this might even be Eichmann based upon the evidence provided is ridiculous. For a start, the younger Eichmann had a much thinner face than the man in this photo. A simple case of wishful thinking.
Max.

Re: Is this Adolf Eichmann?
It seems rather obvious, but the fact that Eichmann was in the SS and the photo is of SA personnel makes such an identification somewhat of a stretch.
