Is this Peiper?

I believe this may be Jochen Peiper in the middle of this picture from the Time Magazine picture archive website as Himmlers Adjutant on a visit to Italy in 1938. I know he was there. Can anyone confirm it's him? Thanx

Can't be certain, but I don't see Peiper in this photo. If you refer to the man with his hand on his hip, he his wearing a sleeve honour chevron. As far as I know, off the top of my head, Peiper did not have that.

It's not Peiper, but he's too blurred to see who it is. It's probably Karl Wolff.

I have just come into possession of an alleged signature of Colonel Peiper. Apparently signed a year or so before events in 1976 - Is there anyone that maybe able to shed any light as to whether it is authentic, difficult I know. I also have a scan of the original note sent with the image. The picture is more like a copy of a photo than an actual photograph, the original owner claimed to have received 3 with a covering note - Please read below note I received from owner -
Hi, The signature is original, I wrote to OdR and they passed on my letter to Peiper. This was in the early 1970`s when I first started collecting Ritterkreuz photos. About a month later I received a typewritten letter, signed by Herr Peiper along with three photos. With the photo I will send a scan of the letter. I am sorry but I do not have the envelope.
