An SS/Polizei funeral?
An SS/Polizei funeral?
A sequence of NARA Kriegsberichter photos, has this funeral been identified, based on the awards on the Ordenskissen and the representatives it must have been somebody of some position or rank.

Re: An SS/Polizei funeral ?
there seems to have been a heavy SD presence. The marching band were apparently Polizei members, at least one with an SS rune badge indicating SS membership

I am not sure whose funeral it is, but Oswald Pohl is far left in the 1st picture and Gestapo Müller is in the 2nd picture.

Re: An SS/Polizei funeral?
There appears to be a young LW officer with a black mourning brassard. Would that indicate he was a member of the family? The police ordinary ranks appear to be wearing post ‘42 combat dress and mountain gaiters. Are there edelweiss patches on lower sleeves?
