Karl Chlebus / Dienstaltersliste der Waffen-SS
Karl Chlebus / Dienstaltersliste der Waffen-SS
Hello
My name is Peter, I'm a librarian and I deal with my family's genealogical research.
I have a question, does anyone have access to the Dienstaltersliste der Waffen-SS from 1944?
I'm searching any information about my cousin Karl Chlebus.
In the period 29 VI 1944 - 6 IX 1944 r. he was the commander of 8 Wachkompanie II SS-Wachbataillon KL Stutthof in rank SS-Hauptsturmführer (previously he served in the Wehrmacht in Hauptmann rank, probably in Ersatz-Bataillon which was included to Stutthof crew on 06.29.1944 r.).
He is listed in John P.Moore - Führerliste der Waffen SS: Chlebus, Karl Hstuf. 30. 8.94 K.L.Sutthof 6.44.
The last mention that I have is based on the order No. 60, SS-Hauptsturmführer Karol Chlebus, is the commander of the transport of prisoners from KL Stutthof to KL Neuengamme (which I attach). Then trace over it stops.
If anyone have access to Dienstaltersliste der Waffen-SS form 1944, or met with Chlebus name, please contact me (because my other uncle Adam Chlebus served in the SS from June 1944 - I can't establish from photo in which unit he served (sign the back of the photo is blurred). I waiting for a response from WAST.
Thank you and best regards
Peter Chlebus
p.s.
Does anyone met a list of persons belonging to the NSDAP? My great grandfather Joseph Chlebus was in NSDAP in lowest rank: Blockleiter - as I know.
He was a mayof (vogt) of Swietoszowka.
p.s.1
Does anybody have photo od KL Stutthof crew from year 1944? I've only seen photos from previous years.

(moving this to the correct section)
Re: Karl Chlebus / Dienstaltersliste der Waffen-SS
There is no mention of any Chlebus in the 1st July 1944 (SS-Obergruppenführer bis SS-Hauptsturmführer) or March 1st 1945 Dienstaltersliste der Waffen-SS.

Hello
Thank you for checking. It seems that my cousin had disappeared after the date of the order.
Nowhere is there information about him, there is not even in the process of Stutthof crew.
Well I have to wait for answer from the WAST.
I have the following signature but do not know to what the archive it refers : BAAL: -- (Other personal data; personal files Karla CHLEBUSA; Sygn. SSO-127).
That BAAL could be misspelled BAL (Bundesarchiv-Außenstelle Ludwigsburg)?
But I have answer from Ludwigsburg that this signature do not refers to theres archives and they have not any Karl Chlebus in their databases :/
Have a nice day!
Peter

Hi
I found that Karl Chlebus died on 25.11.1960.
He is buried in the Ginsheim-Gustavsburg, Ortsfriedhof Gustavsburg, Germany.
Tombstone described: Karl Chlebus 30.8.1894 - 25.11.1960
and probably his wife Melanie Chlebus 25.05.1901 - 17.01.1990.
If anyone is associated to this family or knew it, please contact me.
Peter.

Chlebus is listed among Stutthof personnel. From Stutthof Zeszyty Muzeum 5 (1984):

Hello Patrick
You have right, he is listed among Stutthof personel. I have scans of three orders from Stutthof Museum which is mentioned my cousin.
But the rest of his fate after September 1944 are unknown to me and suddenly I find his grave in Germany and it turns out that he died in 1960.
