This photo appeared much earlier in 1962 in Jacques Delarue, "Histoire de la Gestapo" (Librairie Artheme Fayard) and in same year publ in English as "History of the Gestapo" (Macdonald, London, 1964).

The photo came with a legend.

11, rue des Saussaies was the building of the Sureté Nationale prior the war . Boemelburg knew this building were french police notified him his expulsion from France. It became the seat of the Gestapo Paris then whole kdS Paris.
Now it's the seat of the Direction Centrale de la Police Judiciaire.

Best

Georges,
This may be slightly off topic but when Boemelburg was in BdS Paris - possibly Leiter IV not just IV B as Kieffer of IV E reported to him.
Boemelburg ran a double agent called Henri Dericourt who was a link between SOE and French resistantce agents coming to and going from France back to Britain. It is said Dericourt may have been a triple agent with all sorts of ramifications we don't need to go into here.

However, what is said is that Boemelburg knew Dericourt before the war, in France, where both shared an interest in motor cycle scrambling.
This mean anything to you?

correcting data :

when Boemelburg left office of leader Abt IV beim BdS in end 43 and replaced by August Sindt,

Boemelburg receive the title of Polizeiverbindungsführer next to Vichy administration as representative of Oberg beginning 1944. (before him Geissler held the simalar position of Leiter der Deutsche Polizeidelegation Vichy prior to be appointed KdSipo SD Vichy).
He replaced Geissler as KdS Vichy in june 44.

Dear Steve,

of course y're right in fact it must have written " Leiter Abteilung IV beim BdS Paris" as you say it.

Henri Dericourt was a fascinating man supposed to be a triple agent.

- 1937 met Bodington I.S. (MI6) correspondant in Paris later n° 2 of the F section of SOE
- 1938 met Kriminalrat Boemelburg in Paris. (who came with von Ribbentrop delegation after the killing of von Rath then remain in german embassy up to 1939)
- 1941 Dericourt went in London and recruited by MI 9.
- end 1941 met anew Boemelburg and became one of his "V-Mann" as agent BOE 48
- he became parallely lt of the RAF but attached to SOE

Finally it seems that he worked for MI6 under cover of SOE to have contact with german intelligence. (MI 6 knew he worked with Gestapo and knew that SOE was infiltred by Gestapo).
