SS-Brigadeführer Franz Kutschera 1 Feb 1944 Assasination
I am searching for anyone knowing about the fate of the resistance fighters from assasination of SS-Brigadeführer Franz Kutschera in Warsaw, Poland 1 feb 1944. The 2 resistance fighters "Juno" Zbigniew Gesicki and "Sokol" Kazimierz Sott were encircled at the Kierbedzia bridge at Vistula River by Schupo personel. Supposedly they jumped into water and were shot. Later there are 2 versions one that states that they never have been found, second as per official report to Himmler states that their bodies were salvaged and that one has been identified as shot and other one as drowned. I wonder if anyone has reached that report in either RSHA or Schupo archives? please advise

Re: SS-Brigadeführer Franz Kutschera 1 Feb 1944 Assasination
Hi, I am suggesting to check Polish Wiki. There is interesting information concerning fate of soldiers AK "Juno" and "Sokol". It says that Germans were able to identify true name of "Sokol" because he had his identification documents. Yes, I agree, that it was a very big error in conspiracy - but because that error today we know what we know. If Germans knew his real name it means that they got the body from Vistula River - and they got it quite fast because ink in documents did not get diluted in river's water. Therefore it is obvious, that remains of the "Socol" were a subject of authopsy. Seems also obvious that a detailed report was prepared. Franz Kutschera was a high ranking officer of the SA, therefore such a report had to be addressed to his superior. And his superior was Heinrich Himmler.
Did such a report survived the war ? your guess is as good as mine.
Regretably information on Polish Wiki page is based on a publication which was printed in 1959. That's over a half a century ago so to find it it is almost impossible.
Hope my post put some light on this mistery.

Hello,
"Dewajtis" (Elżbieta Dziębowska) – signals. She was the youngest member of the Action. She had only fourteen years.

It is either the Sipo or Kripo archives from feb 1944, (if the archives survived supposedly in Russia/Moscow) that any such info might be still located as a friend told me.
