Haltermann - SSPF Krakau?
Haltermann - SSPF Krakau?
Hello,
I found an information that Hans Haltermann was the last SSPF Krakau since January 1945. German wikipedia: "ab Januar 1945 SSPF in Krakau". I can't confirm that in any Polish source. Did he actually took this position? Maybe his SS file could help but i do not have a copy. I wonder what is the source of that info on German wikipedia. I have that Thier was till the end but nothing on Haltermann connected with Krakau.

George,
Haltermann was interviewed by the West German police on 5 April 1960, and whilst he mentioned he had been SSPF in Kiew, Charkow and Mogilew, this is what he said about his later appointments:
1944, “als Beauftragter für den Stellungsbau im GG eingesetzt. Bei näherrückender Front kam ich in den Sudetengau. Ich hatte dort vorwiegend mit dem Gauleiter und militärischen Dienststellen zu tun”
spring 1945, with this work completed he found “keine Verwendung” so reported to SSPHA in Berlin and at his request to serve as a soldier, sent to a SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt. as SS-Ostuf in the battle for Berlin, received a head wound and evacuated to a Lazarett near Flensburg

Polizeipräsident Bremen was Schroers till the war end. on 26 april 1945 he was still at his post. The days following the town surrended to the british army.

After Haltermann ended his job next to Generalgouvernement for "Stellungsbau" he was put at disposal of the RFSS up to march 1943 then attached to Polizeipräsident Bremen (beim Pol.Pdt Bremen) not appointed.

Re: Haltermann - SSPF Krakau?
Strange story this one, Haltermann is not in Führerliste with a WSS-Rank, like f.ex. Korsemann or Dr. Naumann. Not many wounded in the Battle of Berlin got evacuated to Flensburg!?steve248 wrote: ↑24 Jun 2016, 14:48spring 1945, with this work completed he found “keine Verwendung” so reported to SSPHA in Berlin and at his request to serve as a soldier, sent to a SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt. as SS-Ostuf in the battle for Berlin, received a head wound and evacuated to a Lazarett near Flensburg

Anything more on the Pz.Gren.Rgt.? What is the Name of the file in Lichterfelde? Anyone got a copy of the pages mentioned?

Halfdan
The file I quoted comes Bundesarchiv Ludwigsburg.
If there had been anymore I would have quoted it.

Hello Andrey,
Look Alike but not him. Officier behind Haltermann is an orpo officier (Eagle cap).
Best regards
