Peter wrote:I suggest that you ask John P Moore for a copy of the relevant documents from his SS-PA, it will answer your question I expect, John does these at very reasonable costs and it helps to fund the cost of his continuing research which then makes more material available to researchers.
Which becomes even harder when people repeatedly give his info away every time some one asks for info on officers. So my point was Georg repeatedly asks for info which he could acquire from the Führer list which enables the above.
Also I share all my info so nothing is lost

I believe that you will find that many of us here share info with those we know and have been members for many years - members who also do real research and share their data with other researchers. As you will see the info which I post is variously from JPM's source in addition to others, ie SS-PA's and SS-DAL's and others. Do you suggest that we should stop sharing ?

This would mean we stop connecting our infos....which would be a desaster!

I have helped many as many more helped myself in research. That's the deal, dear friends.

If you look at what I post when I answer questions from time to time, you will recognize that it is from various sources, some is from John P Moore, some is from SS-PA's and some is from DAL's and various other sources - as shown in my answers to Georg.

To Peter, Jan Hendrik, Steve, Georges and others who are interessted I have started the Blog with MIA:s Officers of the SS. Two "articles" so far but 31 different Officers among them. All attached to different Police or SD units.
I will try to make one post each day with officers. If some reallt needs to know which office they where attached to when MIA, just let me know. I try to make it as simple as possible. With this do don´t have to do the work I am doing or have done, what I mean is to look at every page of the DRK listen = Time consuming.

When I was looking through the Camplists I found an Interessting guy and among the one I reasearch - SS-Ostuf. Hinrich Freesemann (aka as Heinrich) he was in charge of the Subcamp "Klinkerwerke" at KL Sachsenhausen and in Dec. 1946 he was also among the men who was wanted by the Soviets (16 in total) Freesemann was nr 6 in that list. Kaindl of course was nr 1. Freesemann was later arrested and was among the accused at the trial held by the Soviets. Freesemann was sentenced to life and is reported to have died in Workuta in the beginning of May 1948

Is it possible to find out the wartime role of Policemen Walter Graichen and Herbert Deffner?

Interessting info found on DRK website. SS-Ostuf Franz Budka DoB 18.8.1920 are on many sites/books listed as KIA on May 6 1945 in Breslau. But according to DRK the last known whereabouts of Budka is as late as 1952.
Franz Budka was also a RK-träger for those who wonders.

The POW camp he was last seen is the infamous Workutacamp where a big number of SS soldiers was held by the Soviets.

Hello

Can someone be nice and fill eventually the gaps for SS-Hstuf. Alfons Bentele, what I am looking for especieally is the promotionsdate when he became SS-Hstuf. and if he had any awards.

Best regards

Georg
