Thanks !!

Maybe someone else might know where to find a picture of Heuer in Polizei uniform.

A picture of Heuer with his RK will probably not exist as he was awarded the RK at the 22. april 1945...........so fairly late in the war :D

According to an article in "Der Freiwillige", May 2002, Heuer did some missions for the "Brandenburger" ...any info on this?

Originalton Fellgiebel:
"Der Fall ist eindeutig dubios, um es mal gelinde auszudrücken!"

Fellgiebel himself stated:
"The case is definitely doubtful to say at least!"

Heuer' s military career is not proved, his award has no confirmation in any document.
I think his alleged KC is nothing but pure fiction, nevertheless he was a good paying member of the "honorable" OdR.
Veit Scherzer cancelled him !!

Thats why I "ressurected" this thread. If wanted I can post the text from "Der Freiwillige" as this one seems to contain "much" fiction...

He has a very nice dedicated biography in German Military Police Units 1939-45, Gordon Williamson and also Heuer helped to write this book as he did with Chain Dogs: the German Army military police of World War II, Volume 1, Robert E. Witter.

Mr. Veit Scherzer made a huge list of KC's which aren't proved for several reasons, as far as I can remember all of April, May 1945. I think it is very hard to find prove for well documented awardings in the last days of the Third Reich. Typewriters were changed for weapons, documents were burned, Berlin got bombed.. I don't think because of this criteria you can outrule a "questionable" KC (not referring to Heinz Heuer only but there are some hundred(s) more). (*)

I don't know anything on Heinz Heuer his career, I'm only talking about the questioning of his RKT. Jan-Hendrik, could you post the article? I'm curious to find out his own wittness statement.

(*) Only my two cents on the sentece in Bernd R.'s post :"There is no proof in Berlin ..." (http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=114599)
