Hello Waffen-IDF,

Thanks for giving us his promotiondate to SS-Hstuf.
But I don't have him as CO from SS-Feld-Ersatz-Bataillon 3 in March 1945.
And I checked his DoB again and my file says 27-2-1912, the same date as mentioned on the VDK-website:

Dienstgrad: Obersturmführer
Geburtsdatum: 27.02.1912

I know, that's where I've found some of the Christian names....
I also could have posted my findings in that thread but I choose for this one. Hopefully it's of some interest to some people, at least I did the best I could to find some Christian names.

Heinrich Wiens is also listed on his SS-Officer file as holder of "Kreuz v. Danzig II. Kl. (39)".

I think SS-Ostuf. Prechtel, in 1939 CO from 1. Platoon with 2. Kompanie from SS-Heimwehr 'Danzig' is identical to
SS-Obersturmführer(since 21-06-1944 SS-Hstuf)Christian Prechtel.

Steve, thanks for the extra info about Wiens. Had most of it but not his precise promotiondate to SS-Hstuf. (I only knew April 1939) and not the fact that he received the Danziger Kreuz.
