Hello George,

Thank you very much indeed, just what I was looking for.
Now my bio about him looks a bit more complete...

And I also still don't have his party- and his SS-number.
Hopefully somebodh can help me with this.

Thank you,
Mike
His place of birth was Hartha (Saxony). He came into sowjet captivity on 23.10.1943 and was shot on 02.11.1943 near Krivoi-Rog.

Hello Ludger,

Thank you very much for the place of birth from W. Mulde.

So he didn't die in a firefight against Russian partizans together with K. Schafer on 2-11-43???
They're actual shot by the Russian when I read it correctly.

Greetings,
Mike

Hello Mike,

this is how I understand Klee, Das Personenlexikon zum Dritten Reich, p. 425 (see attached scan from the book). Klee gives as his source the "Zentrale Stelle der Landesjustizverwaltungen Ludwigsburg", file-No. 114 AR-Z 67/67.

Can somebody explain "Mordkommando Plath"??

Hi Ludger,

Yes, it's saying taking in captivity and shot.
So this is of course something different then dying in a firefight with partizans......

Thanks,
Mike

Puetz did not become KdS Rowno until 3 Feb 42. Original KdS was Hermann Ling, formerly of Ek 5. However, the main killing of Jews was organized by BdO Oelhafen: http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... hilit=putz

SS-Officer file of Ling gives a posting date to Einsatzgruppe C of April 1942; and in Aug 1942, appointed KdS Dnjepropetrowsk. There is no mention of his having been KdS Rowno.

According to Phil's post http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=29131 SS-Stubaf. Wilhelm Mulde was KdS Dnjepropetrwosk from Nov. 1941 and 02.11.1943.

Bit of a conflict there between Mulde and Ling; maybe Mulde went on home leave and Ling replaced him during that period. The office of KdS Dnjepropetrowsk was also responsible for Sonderommando Plath (from Einsatzgruppe C) and Mulde was nominally Sonderkommandoführer. Maybe someone else can come up with a likely scenario for all this?

Thanks for the info, Iltis!!

Do I understand it correctly that TK Dnjepropetrowsk as well as SK z.b.V. were the official names for Sonderkommando Plath?

Sonderkommando Plath:

According to Krausnick, Helmut (1989): Hitlers Einsatzgruppen, S. 168 it was setup end of 1941 and was under supervision of the HSSPF z.b.V. for the Reichskommissar für die Ukraine. The official name was "Kommando beim Befehlshaber des rückwärtigen Heeresgebietes" and later "Kommando des Beauftragten des Chefs der Sicherheitspolizei und des SD beim Kommandierenden General der Sicherungstruppen und dem Befehlshaber des Heeresgebietes Süd" (later Heeresgebiet B). The personal consisted of members of the 7. Komp./SS-Inf.-Rgt. 5 and of the 2. Komp./Pol.-Res.-Batl. 3. It was seated in Krementschug.
Befor he became leader of the SK, Plath possibly was leader of the outpost Krementschug of the KdS Dnjepropetrowsk.

Can anyone tell me the dates when Ernst Kaussmann was Leiter der Stapostelle "Leipzig", please? And also who were his predecessors at that post? Thanks.
