Rolf D'Alquen bio
Does anyone have a biography and photos of Rolf D'Alquen, the brother of Gunter D'Alquen?

Can it be that he was Kompanieführer of the SS-Kriegsberichter-Kompanie of the III. SS-Panzer-Korps?
Re: Rolf D'Alquen bio
I just found out that my great grandfather is Rolf d'Alquen, great uncle is Gunter d'Alquen.
If anyone has more info or pics on these two I would love to have them for my ancestory.
Com page. My maternal grandpa is Frank d'Alquen, Rolf's son.

Hello, you can find a lot of his photos in the Net, an example, this four photo - two of them Rolf with Gunter (source: on the photo).Tasha1285 wrote:I just found out that my great grandfather is Rolf d'Alquen, great uncle is Gunter d'Alquen.

There is a chapter dedicated to the career and incarceration of Gunter d'Alquen in Valerie Campbell's book 'Camp Watten' - this is about POW Camp 165 in Scotland. She was helped in this by Ingo Gunter d'Alquen who was a son from Gunter's second marriage.

I do appreciate it. I was always told growing up that my family had some connection to the Nazis but I never knew the extent until I did a Google search for my mother's maiden name, d'Alquen. I immediately called her and asked if Gunter was the connection. My great grandma moved to San Francisco from Germany with her two young sons shortly after the war ended, my grandpa was about 5 years old. Rolf was their father. I have always been intrigued with WWII, i just never knew i had a familial connection.
I have been looking for other relatives of the d'Alquens since.
Thanks again,
Tasha

Good day Tasha,
I would like to send you a picture of your grandfather Frank and your great uncle Jan with their nanny from 1944. Since the nanny is in good health at the age of 97, I do not want it through the forum. I'm waiting for an answer, Greetings Gustav!

Re: Rolf D'Alquen bio
Gunthers wartime address is an apartment not a single family home. Quiet beautiful and only steps from the Wanessee.
Not sure if the original dwelling was destroyed during the war and rebuilt postwar, but it can be seen on Google by typing in the address.
It has two bedrooms and currently rents for 725 dollars per month.
Thanks,
Dave
