Hello Simon,
Erich Lutter was SS-Hstuf in 1941 and at that time he was head of Referat II C 3(Arsenal). Apparently at the same time he also headed Referat II D 4(Waffenwesen). Elsewhere on this forum he's mentioned as KdS Bordeaux between 5-42 and 11-43 and like Iltis said he was promoted to SS-Stubaf on 1-10-42. He was also Polizeirat and in March 1945 he became head of Referat II ZN within the SS-RSHA. I also found this phrase on the internet: 'Lutter gilt nach 1945 als einer der Erfinder der Selbstschussanlagen, die später an der Innerdeutschen Grenze eingesetzt wurden'. He died after 1973 apparently....

Greetings, Mike

Hello Mike,

Erich LUTTER was not KdS Bordeaux.
Hans LUTHER Born on 26/02/1909 former judge of Frankfurt à Main held these duties.

Hello Georges,
I never said he was KdS, I just said that elsewhere on this forum he's mentioned as KdS Bordeaux.
See also my post in another thread: http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 5&start=30 where I mention the contractions between Lutter and Luther being KdS Bordeaux....

Thanks for providing us with the total DoB from Hans Luther, I only had the year. Do you perhaps also have his party- and SS-number since I only know he joined the party in 1937?? And do you have his SS-rank???

Greetings, Mike

Does anyone have access to 3343 SSO roll 285A? I am trying to gain access to the officer file of Lutter to see if I can learn more of the organization of the RSHA arsenal. Were any weapons kept at the II D4/II C 4 locations in Berlin? From archive documentation, it appears the facility at Rauscha was primarily for storage of captured weapons taken from resistance members or failed weapon drops. Lutter resided in Berlin as head of the department Waffenwesen, but moved to Rauscha in 1944. Thank you for any assistance.

Joe,
Lutter died on 14 Sept. 1963, Dörfles, before he could be questioned in the large-scale judicial investigation into RSHA officials. One of his officials might be a better target.
